North American Junior Set for Mexico, Nov 16-21

US Chess would like to notify players of the upcoming North American Junior (U20) Chess Championship in Baja California, Mexico, November 16 - 21, 2018.  There are two sections, Under 20 Open and Under 20 Female, both open to players born 1998 and after.  The event takes place at the same venue and time as the North American Youth Chess Championship, for which US Chess official representatives have already been selected.  Players are not able to play in both the NAYCC and the NA Junior U20.

The top rated player in both sections, based on the February 2018 US Chess rating supplement, who notifies Grant Oen (Click here to show email address) by email of their intention to register by the strict deadline of Sunday, 4:00pm Eastern, will be considered for the official representative spots.  These OR designations are afforded discounts by the organizers.

The OR in each section will be responsible to send registration and fees directly to the organizers by the OR deadline of Monday, September 17.
