US Chess Seeking Coaches for 2023 International Youth Events

US Chess is seeking applicants for the positions of Heads of Delegation, Assistant Heads of Delegation, and Coaches for the 2023 FIDE International Youth events.

The policy for selection is posted on the US Chess website and has changed for 2023. The two events covered by this process are: 

  • 2023 Pan-American Youth Chess Championships, August 11-18, Chicago, USA
  • 2023 World Youth (U14, U16, U18) Chess Championships, November 12-25, Montesilvano, Italy

Applicants for the position of Head of Delegation must be a licensed FIDE Senior Trainer. Applicants for the position of Coach (also known as Trainers), must be a licensed FIDE Trainer. Find additional information about the FIDE Trainers’ System here.

A complete application will consist of the following:

  1. Application letter that specifies which event(s) are desired, and which position(s) are desired for each event.
  2. Current resume.
  3. A list of at least three professional references.

Completed applications must be submitted ONLY to Brian Yang, US Chess FIDE Events Manager, brian.yang@uschess.org. Do not cc: any other US Chess email addresses with your submission. 

Completed applications must be received no later than Friday, July 28, 2023, 5:00PM Central USA Time.  Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
