Ten Schools to Receive US Chess Title I Grants

US Chess is pleased to announce ten grant awards under the US Chess Title I Grant Program. With support from generous donors, US Chess annually offers grants to nonprofit affiliate members and chess programs that support students attending Title I schools and which aligns with US Chess’ mission to empower people, enrich lives, and enhance communities through chess. The 2024 grant recipients are:

 

  • After School Activities Partnerships (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
  • Baltimore Kids Chess League (Baltimore, Maryland)
  • Dishman Elementary (Harlingen, Texas)
  • Grace James Academy of Excellence (Louisville, Kentucky)
  • Hamilton K-8 School (Novato, California)
  • Lenoir City High School (Lenoir City, Tennessee)
  • Normandy High School (St. Louis, Missouri)
  • P.S. 031 Samuel F. Dupont (Brooklyn, New York)
  • S Weir Mitchell Elementary School (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
  • Western High School (Louisville, Kentucky)
