Saint Louis Chess Club to Broadcast Coverage of World Chess Champs

SAINT LOUIS, November 2, 2018 - For the first time since Bobby Fischer in 1972, an American will play for the undisputed World Chess Championship title. To commemorate the occasion, the Saint Louis Chess Club will be broadcasting coverage of the tournament November 9–28, 2018 as part of its “Today in Chess” series. The broadcast team of Grandmaster Yasser Seirawan, Woman Grandmaster Jennifer Shahade, and Grandmaster Maurice Ashley will provide detailed analysis of the day’s match starting at 11 AM CST and run through the end of play on uschesschamps.com. The broadcast will focus on the World Chess Championship match happening in London between current World Champion, Magnus Carlsen of Norway, and challenger Fabiano Caruana of the U.S. Commentators will also be highlighting the Women’s World Championship match that will happen simultaneously in Russia. The Women’s World Championship is a large knockout tournament and features two U.S. representatives, Grandmaster Irina Krush and Woman Grandmaster Sabina Foisor.
