Rose McMahon Joins US Chess as Governance Coordinator

US Chess is pleased to welcome Rose McMahon to the role of Governance Coordinator. Rose will be working alongside Jennifer Pearson in a job-sharing arrangement.

Rose most recently worked as an Editorial Assistant for an academic journal. Prior to moving to the United States, Rose worked as a museum curator and research officer in Denbighshire Heritage Service. In this role, Rose managed and developed the institution’s collections in accordance with accepted standards.

Outside of her professional life, Rose is an avid community volunteer serving as Secretary of the Board for the Greenville Choral Society for five years, and Williamston Community Garden. Rose also volunteers with the Carolina Boxer Rescue, and her three dogs keep her active.

Rose has a B.A. in English Literature from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth and a M.A. in English Literature from East Carolina University. Rose is based in Eastern North Carolina and will work remotely from her home.
