2025 Pan-American Juniors Championship Announced

Registration is now open for the 2025 Pan-American Juniors Championship, which will be held June 13-20, 2025 at CEMINA Centro Militar Naval y Aeronáutico in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The age categories for the 2025 Pan-American Juniors Championship are Open Under 20 and Girls Under 20. This event is open to players from any American country.

Each section is a 9-round Swiss tournament with a time control of 90 minutes plus 30-second increment per move. Round one begins on June 13.

Medals, as well as direct FIDE titles and norms, are awarded to the top three players in each section.

Registration

Please note: Registration must be completed directly with the event organizers, not with US Chess.

Players should register with the organizers by June 10. It is advised the earlier the better. 

You will need a endorsement letter from US Chess. Please e-mail Brian Yang at Click here to show email address with your Name, USCF ID # and FIDE ID # for a signed endorsement letter for you to complete your registration. 

Lodging/Hotel

The event will take place at CEMINA Centro Militar Naval y Aeronáutico in Asuncion Paraguay. 

Lodging is arranged directly with the organizer. It is recommended to reserve your hotel needs early, as space is limited. Please see the following Event Regulations, Page 9. 

All players are responsible for their own entry fees, lodging, food, transportation, and travel costs.
