  • Reigning Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun is joined by 21-year-old compatriot Lei Tingjie in the final eight.
  • Former World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk
  • 18-year-old Zhansaya Abumalik of Kazakhstan
  • 19-year-old Uzbek Gulrukhbegim Tolkhijonova, who won in rapid playoff over Valentina Gunina
