The following algorithm is the procedure to rate US Chess events. The procedure applies to six separate rating systems, three of which are for over-the-board (OTB) events, and three of which are for online events: the Blitz system, Quick Chess (QC) system, the Regular system, the online Blitz system, the online Quick system, and the online Regular system.
