Update on SafeSport Enrollment

The U.S. Center for SafeSport (“SafeSport”) has created a custom training module for US Chess that incorporates the negotiated discounts for SafeSport Trained (core), Refresher 1, and Refresher 3 courses (Refresher 2 remains free). This means members will no longer need to input discount codes to access the courses.

Going forward, if you have already linked your SafeSport profile to US Chess, you should automatically have the option to select the courses as shown below:

Be sure to select the titles that contain “—US Chess Federation.” If the options with the “—NGB” remain on your menu, you can still sign up for the course but will not receive the discount.

New members should follow the directions here to set up their SafeSport accounts correctly.

The current discount pricing for US Chess is as follows:

• Core: $18
• Refresher 1: $9
• Refresher 3: $12
