Results are in Championship Quartet

Results are in at the thrilling quartet of Championship events that kicked off #USOpenChess.
Denker Champ IM Praveen Balakrishnan
Grandmasters Alex Fishbein of New Jersey and Alonso Zapata of Georgia tied for 1st in the first ever National Tournament of Senior Champions. IM Praveen Balakrishnan of Virginia won the Denker Championship for the second year in a row, with 5.5/6. Veronica Zilajeva of Oklahoma took clear first in the National Girls Tournament of Champions. US Chess Executive Board member Chuck Unruh, also of Oklahoma, was beaming with state pride.

Carissa Yip tied for second with Joshua Sheng, both with 5/6.
