Grand Chess Tour Begins with Rapid in Paris

The Big three of American chess, GMs Wesley So, Hikaru Nakamura and Fabiano Caruana are all currently playing in the first event of the Grand Chess Tour, the Paris rapids. The first day of rapids saw World Champ Magnus Carlsen and US Champ Wesley So take an early lead with 5/6 each (2 points for each win in the rapid portion), while Caruana had a tough start, losing his first three games.
