The reigning U.S. Champion Fabiano Caruana has made the prestigious Forbes' 30 Under 30, an annual list showcasing "600 of the brightest young entrepreneurs, innovators and game changers" in 20 industries.  https://twitter.com/FabianoCaruana/status/816359234602467328 Caruana made the list in the Games category and is the first professional chessplayer to make the list. Here are several of Caruana's most significant achievements so far:
  • He played 1st board on the U.S. Olympiad team and played a key role in the team winning gold
  • He's ranked as the clear number 2 in the world, ending 2016 within 13 points of number 1
