College Prep & Chess Panel Set for Teen Girls Club on July 21st

On July 21st, four incredible young chessplayers and scholars will impart some wisdom and show how they successfully balanced chess and school. Set for 6 PM EDT on Tuesday, July 21st, highlights of the ZOOM panel will also be recorded for all to enjoy. Female US Chess members (renew here) aged 12-20 are encouraged to sign up using this form. 

Panelists include: 

• US Women's Champion WGM/FM Jennifer Yu (Harvard, 2024) 
• Fiki Hunt, Adoptee Excellence Scholarship recipient and part of team USA in World Youth 2018 (Bates 2024) 
• WCM Claudia Munoz, recent TTU graduate and member of the US Chess Women's and College committees (Texas Tech, 2020) 
• IM Annie Wang, reigning Pan-American World Junior Champion and 2018 US Women's Champs runner-up (MIT, 2024) 

Statistics show that girls drop out of chess in their preteen and teen years at an even higher rate than boys, and with our new teen girls group, we hope to foster a lifelong network and commitment to the game. Please contact Click here to show email address if you'd like to be part of the class.
