In the tenth round of the World Youth in Khanty-Mansiysk, Girls Under 14 US representative Annie Wang defeated then tournament leader Jiner Zhu of China on board one.

This catapults Annie herself to a tie for first with Agrawal Vantika of India going into the final round. The two already faced each other in round four (Annie won), so will play side by side on boards one and two tomorrow: Annie plays Aleksandra Maltsevskaya (Russia) while Agrawal Vantika is facing Jiner Zhu.
