2020 National Open Championship to be Held Online, November 21-22

The National Open is one of the longest running open tournaments in the United States, setting the standard for well-run tournaments with a personal touch since 1965.

Due to the pandemic, the National Open wasn't able to be held in person this year but thanks to longtime supporter and friend, the Internet Chess Club (ICC), this year's event will be held online this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22. Every player will also receive 2 months free membership to ICC.

Compete for over $20,000 in prizes with 5 sections by rating and as National Open tradition dictates, every player with a plus score wins a prize! The winner of the Open Section will officially be the 2020 National Open Champion and receive a mini replica of the Edmondson Cup. The National Open always features extra prizes and raffles, including a drawing for free entry and a hotel room at the 2021 National Open in Las Vegas.

And don't miss the Walter Browne Memorial National Open Blitz this Friday, November 20.
