WGM Nadya Ortiz on Fighting Spirit

Nadya Ortiz, Graphic

On Thursday, January 14th WGM Nadya Ortiz will talk about the importance of having a fighting spirit to our Girls Club for US Chess Members. Nadya will also bring some members of her own chess club from her hometown in Ibague, Colombia to enjoy the class and interact with new friends in a bilingual offering.

Nadya is now a successful software engineer at Apple, and talks about how chess helped her on a path to a great career here.

Sign up for Nadya's class here.

These classes are all archived on YouTube for everyone to enjoy, including our first session of 2021, with National Master Laura Smith on the London Opening.

Laura is also our regular Women's beginner class coach.
