US Chess and Kenya Chess Girls Meet & Learn [VIDEO]

US Chess Women has hosted over 20 top players around the World and US for our popular girls club rooms, which have seen over 500 girls served, with some classes attended by over 100 girls. These sessions have begun to stretch beyond just chess instruction into life skills and other subjects like including college prep.

A brand new program, Kenya and US Chess Girls Meet Through Chess, continues this trend by showing the power of chess to connect and educate on the board and beyond.

In an introductory session, I taught a group of talented Kenya Chess girls and women a lesson on back rank mates.

The next session will feature US Chess Girls and Kenyan Chess Girls in a Cross-Cultural Session where we learn about Kenya, US and chess. US Chess girls can sign up here.

This program is presented in conjunction with the Lighthouse Chess Club and Judith Kiragu, GM Pontus Carlsson and Business Meets Chess Meets Kids and US Chess Women.

You can find many more videos from our US Chess Women programs on our YouTube playlist, featuring over 15 educational videos, available for all to view and enjoy.
