Unruly Queens to Host Online Series of Events

The Unruly Queens, a group of four talented young female chessplayers, are hosting a series of online chess tournaments and camps, kicking off with their first event, on October 17th at 3 PM EDT, a women's blitz Swiss on chess.com (details below). The event series is organized in partnership with the New York State Chess Association and sponsored with a grant from US Chess Women and the Saint Louis Chess Club.

The Unruly Queens are: 

  1. WFM Martha Samadashvili, 2019 Ruth Haring NGTOC Champion
  2. WIM Evelyn Zhu, 2017 North American Under 18 Girls Champion
  3. WFN Yassamin Ehsani, 2019 North American Under 18 Girls Champion
  4. WFM Ellen Wang, 2017 North American Under 14 Girls Champion

The event is US Chess Online Blitz rating and has no entry fee (join or renew here). Prizes are supported by the US Chess Women grant.

Upon registration, you’ll receive an email from us with the Zoom meeting information, the chess.com club to join, and
the tournament link.

Registration closes at 6 PM ET the day before the scheduled event. You must also join the chess.com club by 8 PM ET on the day before the scheduled event. We will not be accepting late entries.
