Twelve Schools to Receive US Chess Title I Grants

US Chess is pleased to announce twelve grant awards under the US Chess Title I Grant Program. With support from generous donors, US Chess annually offers grants to nonprofit affiliate members and chess programs that support students attending Title I schools and which aligns with US Chess’ mission to empower people, enrich lives, and enhance communities through chess. The 2025 grant recipients are:

  • Dr. Americo Parades Elementary (Brownsville, Texas)
  • Edmonson Montessori (Detroit, Michigan)
  • Hamilton K-8 School (Novato, California)     
  • IS 318 (Brooklyn, New York)
  • John Marshall High School (Cleveland, Ohio)
  • Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School (Philadelphia, PA)
  • Lenoir City Intermediate School (Lenoir City, Tennessee)
  • Newark School of Data Science and Information Technology (Newark, NJ)
  • Normandy High School (St. Louis, Missouri)
  • Peoria Public Schools (Peoria, Illinois)
    • Mark Bills Middle School
    • Richwoods High School
  • P.S. 031 Samuel F. Dupont (Brooklyn, New York)
