Kids for Chess Announces 2023 World Youth Chess Championships Scholarship Recipients

Note: These scholarships are funded and administered outside of US Chess by the private organization Kids for Chess. 

Kids for Chess, a nonprofit organization committed to nurturing the chess talent of America's youth, is thrilled to announce the three winners of its prestigious scholarships for the 2023 World Youth Chess Championships.

After a rigorous selection process, the scholarships, each valued at $1,500, have been awarded to Qi Pang, Natalie Wisniowski, and Avery Yu. The scholarships aim to assist the winners with the costs associated with participating in the World Youth Chess Championships this year.

The winners were selected by a dedicated committee, taking into account their accomplishments in chess, academic achievements, engagement in chess-related community service, and a genuine need for financial support.

Qi, Natalie, and Avery showed exemplary skills, not only on the chess board but also in their academic pursuits and community involvement. They are prime examples of the potential that Kids for Chess aims to cultivate, and we are proud to support them on their journey to the World Youth Chess Championships.
