Kasparov on The Queen's Gambit [US CHESS GIRLS CLUB]

13th World Champion Garry Kasparov will speak to our Girls Club ZOOM at 4:30 ET on November 5th about his experience consulting on Netflix's #1 show this week, "The Queen's Gambit." The author, speaker and legendary champion will talk about the climactic game in the series between the show's heroine, Beth Harmon and Vasily Borgov. Writer, director and creator Scott Frank will also appear to discuss the chess elements of the show.

Both Kasparov and Scott Frank were featured in our Chess Life Magazine cover story by Bruce Pandolfini on the Queen's Gambit.

Our Girls Club ZOOM classes contain hundreds of our female US Chess members, of various levels and all over the country. Girls who want to attend should sign up using this google form. The Netflix show contains adult content; this session will focus on the chess aspects of series.
