Communications Department Transitions

Kory Kennedy has resigned as Art Director in order to explore different design opportunities through his studio, Kory Kennedy Design where he will be working on a variety of projects.  US Chess is grateful to Kory for what he accomplished in his short time here and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

We are pleased to announce that Natasha Roberts has been promoted to Art Director effective January 13. Natasha has worked for US Chess for six years now and most recently has been working as our Creative Content Coordinator. This promotion to a 40-hour position is well-deserved and we can all look forward to the good ideas she has planned for US Chess print and digital work.

The Art Director (AD) reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Communication Dan LucasThe position is responsible for leading and directing all graphic and print website design, copy, video, social media material, photography, and promotional assets. Creating article layouts and covers for Chess Life and Chess Life Kids magazines represents most of the work. Some design work for other US Chess departments is required. The AD ensures articulation of US Chess’ desired image and position and assures consistent design and branding of image and position throughout the organization, both internal and external.
