Accessibility Committee Seeks Input

The Accessibility and Special Circumstances Committee (ASCC) has begun work on updating the Accessible Chess Events Guidelines that were published in April 2020.

Under the leadership of Dr. Stephanie Berk in the role of chair, the ASCC will be updating the guidelines and adding a section that covers accessibility issues with online play. If you have experience with accessibility issues and online events as a player, organizer, or tournament director, the ASCC would like your input. The ASCC is looking for case studies, identification of potential issues and accommodations that you have found with your own events. The guidelines will be updated in 2021 to reflect this growing area of play.
