US Chess Statement on Recent Allegations

US Chess is aware that one of its employees has made serious allegations about a member of the chess community. US Chess will not comment on the status of any internal complaint.

As an organization we are committed to due process and for dealing with sensitive matters in a respectful and confidential manner. At the conclusion of any process related to a formal complaint, both complainants and respondents are notified about the disposition of the matter, along with any sanctions that are imposed. Sanctions impacting someone’s status within US Chess will be visible in the individual’s MSA record.

If any member of US Chess has a complaint that violates the Safe Play Guidelines first adopted in 2019, the member can file a formal complaint using the resources on this page. US Chess cannot act on hearsay but does vigorously investigate eligible complaints submitted under the Safe Play Program.
