CRM and Web Manager

Full Time, 40 hours/week (Exempt)

St. Louis, Missouri Metropolitan area 

 

Overview: The CRM and Web Manager oversees the technical aspects of our CiviCRM Database and Drupal website. Much of this will be in service to the US Chess staff and members who will be your internal customers. This role also has oversight responsibility for legacy systems and the migration of those components to a new system. The CRM and Web Manager is expected to be both proactive in identifying and creating improvements and responsive to technical issues and staff requests. The position reports directly to the Executive Director.

 

Database Administration & Use Optimization

  •   Provides problem resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to vendor.
  •   Creates custom queries/reports as requested by staff, including reports that are routinely requested.
  •   Creates documentation and communicates to staff and external system users.
  •   Trains staff on system capabilities and use.

 

Website Management

  •   Provides assistance to staff for utilizing advanced Drupal features and solving common technical issues.
  •   Provides problem resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to vendor as necessary.

 

IT Development Project Management

  •   Identifies functional and technical requirements to advance US Chess technology stack’s evolution.
  •   Consults with key organizational stakeholders in functional and technical requirements gathering.
  •   Ensures project milestones and goals are met on time and within budget.

 

General

  •   Be first point of contact for all US Chess information systems, including legacy components.
  •   Communicates project statuses to all staff.
  •   Maintain current knowledge of IT trends.
  •   Collaborate with all areas of organization to support their technical needs.
  •   Ensure that basic website security is in place and educate staff periodically on best practices.
  •   Ensure that backups are taking place as scheduled.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  •   Knowledge of CiviCRM or other CRM tool.
  •   Database management experience. (MySQL, Postgres experience)
  •   Drupal programming experience; Joomla experience a plus.
  •   Demonstrated ability to manage database development and maintenance projects
  •   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •   Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to multitask and skillfully assign priorities.
  •   Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a distributed staff and vendor team.
  •   Ability to explain technical information to nontechnical staff members.
  •   An understanding of the needs of a chess organization is a plus. 

Education and Experience

  •   Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems or related subject, or equivalent work experience.
  •   At least 3 years’ experience support in database and web support role.
