SuperNationals VI Set to Break Records

On May 7, Sunday evening, SuperNationals VI pre-registrations eclipsed previous records and we are now on track to hosting the largest rated chess tournament in history. Four years ago at SuperNationals V, also in Nashville, 5335 players competed, creating a new record. At the time of writing, that number has grown to 5377 and we are on track to create a new record. US Chess Events director and International Arbiter Franc Guadalupe told US Chess that even accounting for no-shows and withdrawals he is optimistic and excited for a "record breaking event" in Nashville later this week. It's not too late to join the stars and be a part of history.
