Ratings and Ratings Reports Issues (updated 9/30)

Current status (9/30)

All reports indicate that the issues related to ratings, rating reports, correspondence chess, and national event registration are now over. These functions should be working normally.

What happened?

We underwent some technical difficulties related to tournament report uploads and ratings.

Other problems included national event registration -- no new entries to the K-12 are able to be taken at the moment -- and correspondence chess operations.

All other US Chess functions were working.

Why did this happen?

The servers that host these functions are located in an area affected by Hurricane Helene. This is why both we and our provider could not immediately fix the problems.
