The 2018 Grand Chess Tour kicked off today in Leuven, Belgium with the Your Next Move event, and our American “Big Three” are all participating: World Championship challenger Fabiano Caruana and Grandmaters Wesley So and Hikaru Nakamura. Follow along on the STL Chess Club channel (live at 8 AM ET) with commentary from GM Maurice Ashley at the scene, and GMs Alejandro Ramirez, Yasser Seirawan and IM Jovanka Houska in studio. Also look for tactical quizzes based on the rounds on US Chess News, from Vanessa West.

  1. The Americans have a “Big Four” now. By the way, on their rest day, these elite players should visit Bruges, Belgium. It’s 80 miles away, but they have a 2-mile-long pipeline there that’s unique and interesting and supplies a historic area’s pub with high quality beer.
