Sunday Chess - Monthly Cincinnati Tournament

Held on the 3rd Sunday of the Month

10am New Start Time.

• Enjoy your Sunday playing FREE casual chess in the Skittles Room. Hang out, analyze, Watch TV.  Eat Lunch.
• Or Pay the Entry Fee $30 to play in the Sunday Chess Tournament. USCF Rated. Held in the Tournament Hall.

In the Skittle Room –  FREE Open casual play starts at 10am to 7pm. All chess sets are provided for open casual play.

• Indoor and Outdoor playing areas
• TV for the Bengals Game
• Chess Merch and Equipment available for purchase
• Daylily Bodega Coffee Shop and Deli is across the street
• It’s okay to bring food. We sell light refreshments.

In the Tournament Hall – Play in the monthly USCF-rated chess tournament.

• 3 Round Swiss.  Time Control: G/60 d/5.
• Entry Fee: $30.
• 1st Game Starts at 10am.
• We provide all the chess  sets and clocks for the chess tournament

Round Times:

• 10am – 1st Round
• 12:30pm – 2nd Round
• 3:00pm – 3rd Round

• On-Site Registration by 9:30am. You can pay the entry fee at the tournament. Also, you can pay for USCF membership.

• Credit Cards, Paypal, Zelle, and Cash App are accepted at the on-site registration.

Entry Fee: $30

Format: 3 Round Swiss, Play 3 Games. USCF-Rated.

• After all players have registered, we divide the players into sections: 8 player sections. 6 player sections. 4 player sections.
• Sections are arranged by rating using the latest monthly published ratings.
• 1 half-point bye is allowed if declared before round 1.
• Current US Chess membership is required.

Section Prizes with 8 players: (Play 3 Games)

• 1st – $90
• 2nd – $50

Section Prizes with 6 players: (Play 3 Games)

• 1st – $75
• 2nd – $30

Regular Section Prizes with 4 players: (Play 3 Games)

• 1st – $60
• 2nd – $30

Time Control: G/60  d/5 Each Player receives 60 minutes with a 5-second delay.
