Scholastic Chess Tournament for grades 1-5

The tournament will be held in the MPR (Multipurpose Room) at  Dublin Elementary (7997 Vomac Rd, Dublin, CA 94568).

Check-in Time: 12:00pm

Time of Tournament: 12:15pm - 2:45pm

Special Information:

• The MPR - located inside gate to the left.  Follow Signs DPIE will have up.

   * PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY IN THE ROOM DURING TOURNAMENT PLAY. However, parents will be allowed into the room for the announcement of the winners and trophy presentations beginning at 2:15pm.

• Water -  Students may bring water with them.  Refill station available.

1. The tournament will start at 12:15pm with 15-minute instruction.
2. Each participant will be playing 3 rounds of 30-minute games.
3. All participants should follow tournament rules (Touch-Move, Touch-Take).
4. In case of a NO SHOW, a player with no opponent receives a FREE win.
5. All equipment is provided (boards, pieces & clocks).
6. Players are divided into divisions based on the grade they are in this school year.
7. All participants receive trophies at the end of the tournament.
8. Placement trophies (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) will be given to winners of each division.

9. Students are not allowed to communicate during games.
