Putney Summer Series #2

This tournament will be a 1x multiplier for the New England Grand Prix. $5 from each entry goes to the GP prize fund. Standings can be viewed here: https://newenglandchess.org/standings

The last Putney tournament will likely be July 28th. I don't anticipate an August event in Putney, but you should checkout the Northern New England Chess Festival! https://new.uschess.org/northern-new-england-chess-festival

Format: 4SS G45+5, USCF membership required. No on-site renewal. 

Sections: Open & U1650. Sections may merge with or without accelerated pairings depending on turnout. 

Schedule: Registration 9:15-9:45. Rounds at 10, 12, 1:45, 3:15. Between round 1 and 2 will be ample time to get lunch. 

Byes: limit one half-point bye in any round, must request before rd 2.

Entry fee: $20 advance entry if both form and payment are sent on/before July 5th. On-site / late registration: $30. Send entry fees via PayPal to hayden.collins@uvm.edu or Venmo to @collinshayden. 

Location: Putney Community Center. 10 Christian Square, Putney VT. We are back to last year's location! 

Parking: There is a parking lot on the other side (west) of the main road through Putney. Please park there rather than next to the Community Center. 

Equipment: We have extra boards and clocks, but you are of course welcome to use your own. 

Prizes $240 based on 18: Open 1st - $100, 2nd $50. U1650 1st $60, 2nd $30. If merged, U1650 prizes will become class prizes.
