Scholastic Chess Tournament designed for beginners and players with a short experience. Only for players rated under 1000. Format: 4 rounds Swiss Game in 25/5d. Schedule: First Round starts at 2:00 PM. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 will start as soon as the previous round is over. Awards Ceremony will begin once the last game is over. Sections: Open (600-999), K-12 Under 600, K-3 Under 500, and K-3 Under 200. Half point Byes are available in all 4 rounds (Max 2) and must be requested before round 2. Requesting a zero-point Bye late in the tournament is considered the same as withdrawing. Entry Fee: $25 by Wednesday, $30 by Friday, $35 same day. Prizes: Every Kindergarten gets a participation trophy!
