Game Details

1. Date: Saturday 12/3

2. Session 1 - format: 5 rounds Swiss G/40; +2 (increment 2)

3. Session 1 - Round Times:

9:00 - 10:40 - 12:30 - 2:10 - 3:50

Lunch @ 12

We will start rounds early if all games are completed (with 15 min break between Rd).

4. Session 2 - format: G5;d0 double RR Blitz starts 6 PM

5. 4 Sections: based on 48 entries

   • TOP: Above > 1800

   • U1800: USCF < 1800

   • U1500: USCF < 1500

   • U1000: Unrated and < 1000

   • (with less players) - last 4 players will be in U1200 section. U1200 will be 6 rounds G/30;+5

6. Sections formed based on ratings and may be adjusted by TD.

7. Entries: Onsite registration starts at 8 AM. All players must be active members of USCF (rated tournament).

8. Byes EF: EF to be paid before RD 1 to request byes.

9. Byes: Player can take 1 bye (1/2 point). All bye requests before RD 1 pairing ONLY.

10. On site Entry: OS entry after Rd 1 pairing (after 8:30 AM) gets 1st round bye (½ point bye).

11. On site Late Entry: OS entry after Rd 1 started (after 9 AM) gets 0 point byes for missed rounds (U 0.0 point bye).

• $25 by Nov 30

• $30 after Nov 30

• $15 FAYCO Clear Winner with 4-0

On-site EF:

• $45 - On site registration (Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, cash)

 

 

 

2050+ rating Entry Fee:

• $20 by Nov 30

 

 

 

Blitz EF is $10 for all session 1 players

 

 

 

Session 2 - EF:

• $10 - All Session 1 players

• $15 - CC members

• $25 - Players

 

 

 

Cancel/Refunds:

Player can cancel tourney entry by Friday (12/3) and get complete EF refund. Please do not wait for Rd 1 pairings to cancel. No refund after paired in tourney and No-Show.

4. If 2 sections are merged (minimum 6 players each section) - like U1800 and U1500, prizes will be as follows -

• U1800 - 1st place

• U1800- 2nd place

• U1500 - 1st place

• U1500 - 2nd place

 

 

CC membership:

1. $25 per year

2. Clear Winner Prize: 3-0 player in section (Clear Winner Trophy/medal worth $10) to next FAYCO tourney.
