Grand Prix Rules
-Scholastic players participating in designated events can represent one club and/or
school, in addition to themselves individually. Team designations should be made to
Michael Cook (myerstownchess@gmail.com) and Leteef Street (lstreet@dvchess.com),
Season 1 admins.
-Scholastic players participating in Open or non-scholastic sections should designate
themselves as participating in the Grand Prix to ensure their points are counted. This
designation should also be made to the Season 1 admins.
-Each individual scholastic player participating will get their points scored in each event
counted towards their individual score and the score of any team they are representing.
-Scholastic players participating in the Open or higher section of any event will have +1
added to their score (This is to help not discourage players who might otherwise play up
from scholastic sections from avoiding doing so to get a higher grand prix score)
-GP points will be awarded based on a total of 3 possible points. If an event has more
then 3 rounds, the player's score for GP scoring will be adjusted to represent the same
percentage at 3 points.
