ASU February Rapid and Blitz Swiss

Description

This is two separate events on the same day, with the rapid Swiss starting at 9 AM and the blitz Swiss starting at 4 PM.

Pairings and prizes will be based on USCF regular monthly supplement.

All players play in one OPEN section with class prizes (see below!).

Rapid: USCF Quick-rated 6-round Swiss, one open section.

Time control: G/15;+5s.

Round times: 9:00 AM, 9:50 AM, 10:40 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:20 PM, 2:10 PM.

Blitz: USCF Blitz-rated 8-round Swiss, one open section.

Time control: G/3;+2s.

Round times: 4:00 PM, 4:15 PM, 4:30 PM, 4:45 PM, 5:00 PM, 5:15 PM, 5:30 PM, 5:45 PM.

 

Registration

Regular: $20 by Fri February 10th, 11:59 PM MST.

On-site: $25 on Sat February 11th.

Registration for rapid swiss after 8:30 AM MST will be given a bye for round 1.

Registration for blitz swiss after 3:30 PM MST will be given a bye for round 1.

 

Prizes

For each separate event (rapid and blitz):

1st - 16% of entry fee

2nd - 12% of entry fee

3rd - 8% of entry fee

Top U1800 - 8% of entry fee

Top U1400 - 8% of entry fee

Top U1000 - 8% of entry fee
