U.S. Chess Federation Membership is required and available at the tournament.

TWO SCHEDULES: 2-day and 1-day schedule merging in the 4th round on Sunday February 26th

FORMAT: 5 game SS with accelerated pairings.

2-DAY SCHEDULE (Saturday 25th and Sunday-26th)                        TIME CONTROL: G/90;d5

ADVANCE ENTRY FEE: Rated players $25. New and Unrated players $5 with advance registration.

AT DOOR REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEE PAYMENT (Cash or Check): 8:30am-9:00am, Saturday February 25th.

AT DOOR ENTRY FEE: Rated players $30. New and Unrated players $10.

ROUNDS: Saturday 9:30am, 1:30pm, 4:45pm; Sunday 2:00pm, 5:15pm

1-DAY SCHEDULE (Sunday 26th) NO AT DOOR REGISTRATIONS

TIME CONTROL: Rounds 1-3: G/45;d5, rounds 4 and 5: G/90;d5

ADVANCE ENTRY FEE: Rated players $20. New and Unrated players $5 with advance registration.

OR PAY LATER at site (Cash or Check): 8:00am-8:15, Sunday 2-26-23. Rated players $25. New and Unrated players $10.

ROUNDS: Sunday 8:30am, 10:15am, Noon, 2:00pm, 5:15pm.

WMCA MEMBERSHIP: $15 per year (NOT required). It includes the WMCA Free tournament and $5 off at all other tournaments. Also includes voting rights and any privileges added during membership.

BYES: Limit of one 1/2-point requested bye, available for planned missed round, specified with entry.

CHESS SETS, and CHESS CLOCKS will be provided. However, if you have a set you would rather use, you may substitute your equipment with the approval of the player of the black pieces.
