Progress With Chess and the Lakewood Department of Recreation are proud to

present The Lakewood Scholastic Skewer, a chess tournament open to players of all skill levels entering grades K-12!

Chess sets will be provided for all games - clocks for the top two sections!

Format: 4 Rounds paired ASAP, lunch break after round two — Free pizza lunch and drink!

Time Limit: G/30; d5.

Sections: Five USCF Rated sections to accommodate players of all levels!

Championship, Under 1400, Under 1000, Under 700, Under 400/unrated.

July supplement ratings will be used to determine player sections - provisional or online ratings may be used for unrated players.

 

Registration: $35; Free USCF membership included (new or expired memberships only) No on-site entries! Register online @ https://progresswithchess.org/skewer by 5 PM, June 27.

Prizes: Trophies to all players scoring 3 or higher, medals to all participants.

 

Schedule: Doors open at 8:30AM. No on-site registration.

Round 1: 10AM sharp!  Estimated Completion: U400, U700, U1000: 2PM. U1400 & Championship: 3PM.
