Round Times: 10:00am 11:15am 12:30pm 1:45pm 3pm....4:15pm (Award Ceremony)

Herbert Hoover Highschool Cafeteria
Park in the big parking structure, walk straight across campus and up the brick steps. Tournament location will be toward the left.
Lunch and snack bar will be available for purchase.

You may bring your own chairs!
Remember your chess clocks if you have them!
Sections: K-6 Rookies (nonrated), K-1 Under 200, K-4 Under 500, K-7 Under 700, K-9 Under 900, K-12 OPEN
February official ratings list will be used.
Trophies: Awarded to at least Top 7 players in each section!!! (Top 5 for K-1 U200)
Best Sportsmanship trophies will also be awarded in this event
All Sections: 5-SS (Swiss System: everyone plays 5 games against players with approximately the same number of wins and losses after each round), G/25 d5 (Timers may be used which limit the total game time for each player to 25 minutes with a 5 second delay)
Entry Fees
$60 standard rate by 01/28
$75 late entry by 02/03
$90 entry ONSITE (8:45-9:15 am)

***New players to the US Chess Federation or those whose memberships have expired, log into Join US Chess | US Chess.org, and create/renew your ID. Be sure to pay the $20 fee!
Must have USCF ID and active membership to join tournament.
