Sections & Eligibility

• Premier:  rated under 1800 or unrated
• Reserve: rated under 1100 or unrated
• Booster:  rated under  800  or unrated
• Novice:   rated under  500  or unrated

The June US Chess Rating Supplement will be used. Other ratings may be used if higher as described on the National Open page. If you pre-register and your rating changes you will be moved up automatically or down on request.

The decision of the chief tournament director regarding player eligibility, rating adjustments, unofficial ratings, or similar issues is final.

Trophies

• Top 5 Players in each Section
• Top  2 Players in each Class
  • Premier:  under 1600, under 1400, under 1200
  • Reserve:  under 1000, under 900, unrated
  • Booster:   under 700, under 600, unrated
  • Novice:    under 400, under 300, under 200, unrated

There must be at least 3 players eligible for each prize that is to be awarded.

Entry Fees

$40 by April 30, $50 by May 28, $60 later.

Schedule

• Late Registration  8:30 - 9 a.m.
• Rounds at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

1/2 Point Byes are available in any round (limit 1) if requested before the start of round 3.
