This tournament will happen twice per year as part of the biannual World Series of Online Chess.

When/Where: Friday, November 21st at 6 pm Eastern Time (5 pm CT, 4 pm MT, or 3 pm PT) on lichess.org

Format: 11 rounds, game in 5 minutes with no increment, USCF-online-blitz rated

Prizes: $400 in cash prizes ($150 for 1st, $75 for 2nd, $50 for top U2100, $50 for top U1700, $50 for top U1300, $25 for top U900); trophies by mail available upon request (email us to ask for this—$25 deducted from cash prizes)

• Cumulative Prizes: We encourage players to compete in multiple World Series events. Kids may compete in all three (scholastic, open, and blitz). Adults may compete in both the open and blitz tournaments. The scholastic player with the highest score across all three events will be mailed a special trophy. The open player with the highest score in the open and blitz events combined will receive a $100 cash prize. If both cumulative prizes are won by the same player, only one prize will be awarded.

Entry Fee Schedule (Signup Early!): $15 by 11/14, $18 by 11/20, and $23 on the day of the tournament. Note that the registration must be completed by 11:59 pm ET to be counted as received on that day.

• Players with USCF ratings of 2000 or higher can register for just $1.
