Event Overview

DMV Chess was one of the first organizations to run online tournaments during the COVID-19 pandemic! Our weekly online tournaments began in March 2020, and we have attracted over 8000 unique players. Even though the world has reopened, we are proud to still run USCF-rated online tournaments on a weekly basis post-pandemic for the many players who enjoy participating.

As we have been doing for years, we run the following events every single week:

Weekly Wednesday Scholastic (Online)

  • Every Wednesday at 6 pm Eastern Time (5 pm CT, 4 pm MT, or 3 pm PT)
  • Three rounds of game-in-25 with a 5-second increment (USCF-online-regular-rated)
  • Open to all scholastic players

Weekly Thursday Open Rapid (Online)

  • Every Thursday at 6 pm Eastern Time (5 pm CT, 4 pm MT, or 3 pm PT)
  • Four rounds of game-in-10 with a 2-second increment (USCF-online-quick-rated)
  • Open to all players, including both adults and kids

Weekly Saturday Scholastic (Online)

  • Every Saturday at 2 pm Eastern Time (1 pm CT, 12 pm/noon MT, or 11 am PT)
