Prizes: Team, Individual, and Class Trophies.  Free entry to later 2024 Wake County Championship series event (May 18, 2024) to "plus scorers" of 3 points or more.

Registration and Entry Fee:

$40 Online by April 20 (6pm), or 

$65 Onsite registration 9:00-9:30 morning of tournament; mandatory 1st round half point bye likely

USCF membership required; Dragon Knight Chess will use vouchers to create new scholastic memberships. 

Time Control: G/40; delay 5.  Each player receives 40 minutes plus a 5 second delay to complete each game.

Onsite registration 9:00-9:30 morning of tournament; mandatory 1st round half point bye likely.

5 round Swiss System; Round Schedule:

1st Round 10am;

2nd Round 11:30am;

3rd Round 2pm;

4th Round 3:30pm;

5th Round 5pm

Optional half point bye allowed for any round declared before Round 3.

USCF Regular rating used for section eligibility, pairings, and prizes (April 2024 rating list). NO Residency or School Location Requirements: Open to all players in K-12
