We are thrilled to announce an exciting new event: the Unity Chess Quad Tournament! This unique format groups players of similar rating levels into sections of four, ensuring closely matched, intense competition. Don’t miss this opportunity to test your skills!
Tournament Details:
Date: 08/10/2024
Format: 3-Round Swiss System (3R/SS)
Time Control: G60 with a 5-second increment
Entry Fee: $50 (2 Units)
Round Timings: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM
Prizes:
Each quad group will compete for the following cash prizes:
1st Place: $60
2nd Place: $40
In the event of a tie, we will have an exciting unrated blitz match to determine the winners!
Key Information:
- Players will be sorted into quads the morning of the tournament based on the entry list, live ratings, and check-ins.
- The tournament is USCF-rated, and current USCF membership is required to participate.
- All USCF Tournament Rules apply, and the tournament director's decisions are final.
- Notation is required.
Players can register for these tournaments through King Registration website. Unity chess players can send a message in the Telegram group to use their units and join the tournament.
