Tysons Corner Blitz Tournament (In Person)

1 PM Blitz Tournament Information:

• Location: Hilton Garden Inn Tysons Corner located at 8301 Boone Blvd, Vienna, VA 22182
• 5 round double Swiss tournament (10 total rated blitz games).
• USCF blitz rated. Time control: Game in 5 minutes with no delay or increment.
• Sunday, February 11th, 1 pm to approximately 3 pm.
• Entry fee: $20 if also signed up for Tysons action happening at 4 pm. If only playing blitz then $30 on or before Wednesday the week of the tournament, $35 on or before Saturday the week of the tournament, $40 on Sunday (on-site registration is allowed, registration for round one closes at 12:45 pm on Sunday). Free entry to players over 2200 (entry deducted from prizes--please email to register).

• PRIZES: $100 for 1st
• We will have enough chess sets for all players, but clocks will not be provided for everyone. If you have a clock, please bring one.
• This tournament is open to everyone (adults and children of any skill level).

Parking Information

There is a decent amount of free parking on the street right in front of the hotel. The hotel also has a garage where anyone participating in the tournament can park for free. Just press the call button and the front desk will let you into the garage. If using the garage, please park on the 2nd level rather than the 1st level. There's an elevator that can take you to the hotel lobby.
