TUESDAY CHESS NIGHT (one 60+30 game) by Indy Chess

All are welcome to join us for Indy's largest weekly chess night at the Latvian Community Center!

Adult casual play (13+ years old) will also be available 6:30-9:30pm, so come make some friends and meet new opponents.

Adults can pair themselves, or can ask the adult section host for pairings with other people.

Sets and clocks are provided (you can bring your own as well), and any time control is allowed as you desire.

Note: Adult Casual section is always free; just show up and play pick-up games!

2) KIDS' WORKSHOP AND QUADS

There will be a kids' game review workshop from 6:30-7:00, followed by kids casual play from 7:00-8:00pm.

Kids can earn medals, and eventually cash in medals for trophies.

Kids typically play in "quads" after the lesson, meaning we place them in groups of four according to their level and they play each kid in the quad one time! First Tuesday of each month we play "Bughouse" (two-on-two chess).

Participation in the kids' area costs $5 (members) / $10 (non-members), but the first visit is free (just show up).

Pay at the door by 6:30p, or save time and register in advance at indychess.org/events.

Parents are requested to stay the first visit, but future visits can leave and return by 7:50pm.

3) USCF-RATED GAME (60+30, 1 game/wk, no commitment necessary)

In a separate tournament room, there are USCF-rated games with a 60+30 time control. Want to play? Just register for any Tuesday you can come, one at a time (no long-term commitment). You will be paired with someone in your "section," which will be Unrated-1200, 1200-1800, and 1800+. The games will be operated like a 4 or 5-round Swiss tournament, with each Tuesday being one round, and the ratings report submitted at the end of the month. Weeks missed will just be given a 0 point bye.  Must register online or arrive in-person by 6:15p to be paired.  If your game ends early, feel free to play chess in the Adult Casual are after.  You must be a member of US Chess (visit uschess.org and click "JOIN") to play these rated games.
