Free Entry to the first five non-titled entrants with a lichess rapid rating over 1900 who join
the tournament with a provided entry code. The entry code will be changed after the five
players have joined. Message https://lichess.org/@/Gitananda for the entry code.
(No-show forfeiters are exempt from this unless they have paid a $5 fine).

Entry fee: $5. ; free for all National Masters and FIDE otb titled 
players (WFM,FM,WIM,IM,WGM,GM) if displayed on lichess profile.

Format:

Time control: G/15;+10

3 - 5 round Swiss tournament in up to three sections.
Sections will be combined if necessary.
Six players will be considered enough to populate a section.

Beginning on the hour please monitor team messages and chat and direct messages for details.
If it is announced that sections will be combined then you will have five minutes to make the switch.

Sections:

Basic Skills (under 1400):
For players with a lichess.org rapid rating under 1400 for the last week.

Complex Skills (1300 - 1799 +):
For players with a lichess.org rapid rating from 1300 - 1799 for the last week.
(no rating limit if there is no Advanced Skills section)

Advanced Skills (1800 +):
(if six players over 1800 are available)
For players with a lichess.org rapid rating of at least 1800 for the last week.

All Sections:

Lichess.org ratings will be used for all pairings.

note: In each section a higher-rated and a lower-rated player 

may be allowed to play at the sole discretion of the organizer.

Byes:

You may not request any byes. However players who join the tournament

after the first round but before the second round are currently automatically

being assigned a half-point bye by the server.
