Time: Doors open from 9.00am. – 3:00 p.m.
Registration begins 9:00am-9:30am.

Quad: 3 RR; G/40 d5; Rd 1 – 10:00 a.m. Rd 2 – 11:30 a.m. Rd 3 – 1.00 p.m.

Scholastic: Swiss 5 Rounds (G/20 d5), Rd 1 – 10:00 a.m. Rd 2 – 11:00 a.m.  Rd 3 – 12.00 Noon   Rd 4 – 1 p.m.

 
Registration:
•    9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. on the tournament day for last-minute entries.

•    Must be a member of USCF (United States Chess Federation) to play. Join USCF now at https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess.
•    Preregister by sending your name and USCF ID and which section you would like to play to [email protected].

Sections:
•    Open
•    Scholastic

Format:
•    Quads (Group of 4 players - each player plays each other player - 3 games total). In case of extra players, the lowest rated quad will be a Swiss.

•    Time control: G/40; d5 (Players get 40 minutes each, with a 5-second delay for each move)
•    Rounds: Round 1 at 10:00am; Round 2 at 11:30am; Round 3 at 1PM. Rounds 2 and 3 may start sooner if all games in the previous round are finished and players agree.

• Scholastic: Swiss 5 Rounds (G/20 d5), Rd 1 – 10:00 a.m. Rd 2 – 11:00 a.m.  Rd 3 – 12.00 Noon   Rd 4 – 1 p.m.

Entry Fee:
•    Open: $25
•    Scholastic: $15

Prizes:
•    Open: $80 to winner (Ties split evenly)
•    Scholastic:  Top 3 Players will get Trophies, 4th and 5th Player will get Medal.

     on Jan 23rd 2026 at  MATA Sankranthi Celebrations event, Lemoyne Borough Community Hall,  510 Herman Ave, Lemoyne, PA 17043)
