Thinking Thursdays

When:  Meets most Thursdays at 6:30PM
Where:  The Cork and Board, Jefferson City's premiere board game pub!
Cost: Free!  Donations accepted but not expected!

USCF Membership Required: Sold Onsite*
Equipment: Several sets, boards, and chess clocks provided; players are encouraged to bring their own!
Registration: Onsite at 6:15PM. Round 1 Begins at 6:30PM (or as close as possible)
Prizes: Bragging rights!

We play for the love of chess!
 

Join us most Thursday nights for blitz chess!  Graciously hosted by The Cork and Board, stop by for an ice cold beer or a crisp cocktail, some delicious entrees, and some rated chess! The default is rated G/10;d0, though if the participants want to play something else, they make it known!  (Including Hand & Brain, Bughouse, and G/0:01;d5, among other terrible influences!)  Please note, while very family friendly, there is alcohol served at this establishment.  The chess is played in a relaxed atmosphere - arriving late and leaving early are ok.

*If you don't have a USCF membership, it can be purchased on site (or I can walk you through doing it yourself as well).  While required to play rated chess, effort is made if not a member to provide opponents, but preference is given to the tournament players.  When playing anything not rated (e.g. Hand & Brain, Bughouse, etc), a membership is obviously not required!
