Tax Time Swiss

The Weare Woodpushers meet weekly on Wednesday evenings in Weare, NH.  Our intent is to welcome skittles players *and* make rated games available in the Concord/Henniker area.  This is the first of a series of public tournaments we plan to host.  Proceeds used to fund club expenses. 1 round/week Swiss

Rounds:  4 Rounds (Starting 12 April, ending 3 May)

Time control: G60+5 

Entry Fee: $5 (waived for full time students)

Byes:  2 Byes may be requested in rounds 1 , 2 or 3. No 4th round byes will be allowed. In the event of an odd number of players, a full-point bye will be awarded for an odd player.  Max one full point bye per player.  Requested byes (half-point) must be requested via email in advance.  Granted at TD discretion, when possible, max 2 half-point byes.

Registration: 6:00-6:30 pm

Pairings & Play: 6:45 pm

Prizes:  Clear 1st wins a copy of Capablanca’s Chess Fundamentals (modern edition, paperback).

Notes:  

• USCF membership required; please renew/set up prior to arriving.
• Please bring equipment; club equipment is limited.
• Current published USCF ratings used for pairings; computer generated pairings subject to TD review & modification.
• Tiebreaks will follow USCF Rule 34E.
