Each week we'll play a standard Quad Tournament, 3RR G/20+5 (quick rated). Members will be awarded SGP Points based on where they place in their Quad after completing three rounds (see below). Each player accumulates GP points throughout the 3-month "Season" (you don't have to play in every single weekly Quad to compete on equal footing!). A SGP Season Leaderboard will be maintained ranked by the total GP points in each player's top 8 weekly GP scores throughout the SGP Season (Quad placement: 1st = 4 GP pts; 2nd = 3 GP pts; 3rd = 2 GP pts; 4th = 1 GP pts).

There are several ways to win cash prizes at the end of each SGP Season (amounts based on season registrations):

• Gold, Silver, and Bronze Ca$h Prizes for the Grand Prix Season Champions: Top 3 Players on the Leaderboard!
• USCF Class Champions: Ca$h Prizes for the top player by GP points in each USCF Class!
• Additional Ca$h Performance Awards: Giant Killer, Most improved, Highest Win %, and Longest Hot Streak!

Important Notes!

• This is NOT an Official USCF Grand Prix tournament, but rather our club's seasonal "Superior Grand Prix" 
• SGP points and standings will be tracked manually outside Chess67 (our club and tournament management platform).
• There will be NO tournament on Thanksgiving (Thurs, 11/26)
• Do not expect to play in a perfectly quiet "chess tournament hall" environment. Our venue is a family-oriented community environment.
• Delicious food and beverages are always available, so please show our gracious hosts your gratitude by enjoying a drink, appetizers or dinner!
